In Florida, it's estimated more than 100,000 people will be diagnosed with cancer this year alone. Here on the Suncoast, we're fortunate to have a state of the art cancer support center. The new facility was dedicated Tuesday and will now be able to serve thousands more cancer patients and their families. They used to be called the Wellness Community of Southwest Florida and they used to operate out of a strip mall on Clark Road. But now the newly named Cancer Support Community has a brand new facility in Lakewood Ranch, about three times the size. |
